Selections by American musicians Michael Stearns, Djam Karet, Robert Rich and Steve Roach, Walter Holland, Loren Nerell, and Bo Tomlyn sit side-by-side with pieces by German synthesist Klaus Schulze and Spanish electronic artist Michel Huygen. Coriolis Records, Box 3528, Orange, CA 92665.

Rare collection of pieces inspired by the paintings of Salvador Dali. Unique tracks from Michael Stearns, Michel Huygen, Walter Holland, Djam Karet, Loren Nerell, Klaus Schulze, Bo Tomlyn, one Steve Roach solo track, and two Steve Roach, Robert Rich collaborations. Rare collection of pieces inspired by the paintings of Salvador Dali.

Steve Roach ends the CD with three shorter pieces, two of which are collaborations with Robert Rich. Birth Of Liquid Desires is an extremely dense tone cluster as is the Roach solo The Disintegration Of the Persistence of Memory. Rinocerotic Figure of Phiias - Illisos sounds like an amplified mouth eating toast. This is a truly great, moody, mixed up album. I bought it because I am a great fan of Steve Roach, who has the last tracks. All the other artists are great, each track a different aural interpretation of a different Dali painting. It's like looking at Dali through headphones.
