DILLINGER is a Heavy Prog, Progressive Rock artist from Canada. This was to be the band's last album as Dillinger.

Dillinger's members were from Quebec and Ontario Canada, and formed by brothers Robert Harrison (drums, vocals) and Jacques Harrison (keyboards, flute, sax, vocals) in Toronto 1973. This, their 2nd and final album was recorded between studios in Michigan and Toronto 1975/76. Nice lead guitar, organ, and mellotron, at times bringing to mind Nektar or Camel. The rhythm guitar reminds me very much of the Canadian band Foot in Cold Water. Amidst recording what was to be the 3rd Dillinger album, they then changed their name to The Hunt, resulting in the 1977 debut self titled album by 'The Hunt'. Rumour has it their name was derived from manager at the time Cliff Hunt.

Dissociation is the sixth and final studio album by American band The Dillinger Escape Plan. It was released on October 14, 2016 by the group's independent label Party Smasher and distributed by Cooking Vinyl. The album was mixed by producer Josh Wilbur. Dissociation was revealed as The Dillinger Escape Plan's sixth and final album alongside guitarist and founding member Ben Weinman's announcement that the group was to "go out while we're still on top" following their tour cycle for the album.

Civil War (stylized as C I V I L W A R) is the fourth album by the Minneapolis, Minnesota punk rock band Dillinger Four, released on October 14, 2008 by Fat Wreck Chords. It is the band's second album for Fat, following 2002's Situationist Comedy. Its recording and production took place over several years, and its release date was pushed back several times. An early internet leak of the album was the source of some controversy.

Metallica and the Dillinger Escape Plan made three of 2016's best metal records. Miikka Skaffari/Getty, C Flanigan/Getty, Miikka Skaffari/Getty. On their 11th full-length album, the NOLA sludge-metal quartet returns to form with a pessimistic beatdown that recalls the glory days of classics like 1998's Odd Fellows Rest. Riff master Kirk Windstein shrieks and groans with snarling vigor, while his chugging guitar parts sport renewed heft due to the return of founding bassist Todd "Sexy T" Strange.

Dillinger's maniacally adventurous sound and peerless daredevil live performances won them diehards within both the underground and the mainstream, including members of Nine Inch Nails, System of a Down and the Deftones, bands that all took them out on tour. Count among those famous fans Metallica; the thrash masters handpicked Dillinger to play 2013's Orion Music + More festival, and their co-founder Lars Ulrich has publicly sung DEP's praises as early as 2009

And yet, when one first hears the abrasive technicality of The Dillinger Escape Plan, pre-existing labels are hard to apply to the band's sound. Fronted for the majority of their career by vocalist Greg Puciato and masterminded by guitarist Ben Weinman, for close to two decades the ever-revolving band delivered a steady burst of hard, exciting music. They gave a needed reminder that extreme music needs no boundaries, able to weave together moments of beauty, discord, groove and every possible emotion through their music.
